Kids' Ministry at Hope Church partners with parents by providing ministry for children birth through fifth grade. We believe kids are on a journey of faith and we desire to come alongside of them and help them discover the story that God has written for their life. We believe that kids are an important part of the body of Christ and as such can impact the Kingdom of God right now through their service to others and the way they live their life as followers of Jesus.
Parents play the most important role in the spiritual development of their children. Research shows that the most powerful influence on children's faith development is the conversations about faith which take place in the home. It is our desire that the training they receive here will supplement the growth initiated at home.
Our goal is to help children discover faith in a personal way so they will become passionate followers of Jesus. Children learn Biblical truth and Biblical principles through such creative methods as drama, music, video and audio instruction, puppets, crafts, teaching and discussions. Children also learn through observation and modeling; therefore each classroom in staffed by qualified volunteers who are committed to the spiritual development of each child.
As children discover God's truth through His Word and begin to grow in their faith, we believe that their lives will be transformed. When kids live their lives as authentic followers of Christ they will look "different" and have a great impact on those around them. We believe that kids can be used to impact the Kingdom right now and believe that God's commandment to
"Go and Make Disciples" is given to all followers of Jesus, regardless of age. Therefore, we are committed to providing opportunities for kids to serve others as well as to support the efforts of our missionaries both at home and around the world.
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."
