As the Lead Pastor of Student Ministries, I am privileged to support the staff team that shepherds Hope Church's students. I have a passion to see the next generation live for Christ in all things. I have been working with students professionally for over a decade. I graduated from Liberty University with a B.S. in Religion and am a proud husband and father of three wonderful kids. You will find in me a rare combination of passion for theology, the Church, and the arts. In addition to my role in student ministry, I also serve on the leadership team of Hope Church, preach occasionaly, and direct a program at Hope Church called Hope Fellows. Some of my favorite things are reading, skiing, music, fantasy football, technology (especially stuff with an apple on it), hiking & camping. I serve as the Student Ministries Pastor who focuses on our high school students. My days are spent building relationships with students and helping them and their families navigate the questions that arise in the adolescent years. If I had to label out my heart, or my hope, for each student that walked through our doors it would simply be that they would come to know Christ and his crazy passionate love for them and to encourage them to respond with a surrendered life. Beyond those things, I provide leadership and input for Student Ministries’ volunteers, weekly programming, curriculum thoughts, and student leaders. As the Director of Student Women, I get the privilege of working alongside the student ministries staff team to assist in leading students, specifically girls, grades 6-12 into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. My philosophy of student ministries is you must earn the right to be heard. Because of that I take great joy in pouring the majority of my time and energy into building relationships with our student women. When I’m not hanging out with students I assist in encouraging and training our volunteers and supporting both our Jr. and Sr. High Ministries administratively. I have worked with students in some capacity for almost 10 years and have been on staff at Hope since 2009. I graduated from Miami University with a degree in Math Education that has come in handy with helping students with their homework.
