My primary role is to recruit and equip volunteers to share God’s love with the smallest of His children. I love to help volunteers find their area of giftedness and watching them grow as they joyfully serve to further His Kingdom. Other responsibilities include: coordinating ROCKETS- a midweek bible program for Pre-K and Kindergarten children; selecting curriculum and planning special events for ECC families. I count the weekly contributions, enter them into the database and provide yearend statements to contributors. I input budgets and distribute monthly reports to the various ministries. As assistant to the Senior Pastor, Stephen Kirk and the Pastor for Ministry Development, Jim Dunn, I am responsible for managing phone calls, scheduling appointments, and overseeing various special projects/classes. Debby Dommer Drama Ministries Director Ministry: Worship 513-459-0800 | ddommer@hope-church.org I am the Drama Ministries Director at Hope Church. Behind the scenes or in upfront capacities, drama at Hope is about using our gifts to serve God’s purposes! I oversee the newly formed drama lead team and all aspects of drama. Members of three drama teams: youth, teen, and adult, participate in seasonal productions, Sunday morning and outreach presentations, as well as providing drama experiences for other ministries at Hope. I lead the worship and arts department at Hope which prepares music and other different art forms for corporate worship each week. Along with Pastor Stephen, I help architect each weekly service and coordinate the leaders of each element involved in the service. I am also a worship leader, direct the Hope Choir, lead the praise team, plan and prepare outreach events, workshops, retreats and congregational special events. We are really blessed at Hope with some incredibly talented people in the arts, but more importantly, God is making us into a community that really loves Him and is learning how to love each other! God has assembled an outstanding team of men and women to serve Hope Church and it’s a joy to work alongside them. Furthermore I oversee the daily operations of our church – facilities, finances, and personnel among others. I also have the privilege of coordinating CoNext which is our class for new members. The duties of the finance department include recording and tracking contributions, paying the bills, assisting ministries with developing their budgets, preparing the financial statements, managing the benefits and human resource functions and responding to questions from members and regular attenders. Honestly, because I’m selfish, I struggle with this. I also coordinate the printing of the bulletins and notes, putting the powerpoint together and filling the CD and DVD orders. I love to meet our “family” and get to know them better. This position allows me the privilege of overseeing and coaching the many leaders in our Adult Ministries with a team-ministry philosophy in the areas of midsize communities, small groups, men’s ministries, women’s ministries, young adults, singles, seniors, purity ministries and disciple-making ministries. Another growing role at Hope is to work with a team to help our people discover, develop and deploy their gifts to serve one another and make a difference in our world through our Finding Your Ministry NICHE course and personal coaching. Cheri Lizzio Little Schoolhouse Preschool Director Ministry: Little Schoolhouse Preschool 513-459-0800 ext. 336 | littleschooolhouse@hope-church.org Little Schoolhouse Preschool Director. I give direction and vision to the Preschool which consists of 11 classes, 18 teachers and 130 children and their families. To list a few of the responsibilities would include maintaining our compliance rating for our child care license. Overseeing the hiring, training and all the paperwork involved with this large staff. Maintaining an environment that is healthy and safe for preschool children. Parents tell their children that Mrs. Lizzio is the principal of the school. Diane MacLachlan Care Ministry Assistant Ministry: Care Ministries 513-459-0800 ext. 310 | dmaclachlan@hope-church.org Being the assistant in two distinct ministries at Hope Church allows me to see a broad segment of how this place cares for God’s people inside and outside the walls of this building. In my role in Care Ministry I come along people in all different walks of life and help them look for the Father’s love in the process. As a helper for Mission and Outreach I assist with broadening the perspective of our church family to embrace God’s call to share His love far and wide. I oversee a staff of committed and gifted ladies that God has assembled here at Hope Church to lead Kids’ Ministry. Together we help volunteers discover and develop their gifts as they serve the body while working with kids. Partnering with parents is our vision. This plays out by providing ministry to children and by helping parents discover what it means to raise a child in a godly home. And finally, the best part of my job is that I get to be with the kids! I currently serve as the Lead Pastor of Student Ministries. In this role, I lead, encourage, and oversee the amazing team that leads Hope’s youth ministry. On occasion, I serve at student ministry events and programs. Secondly, I direct a Fellows Program here at Hope. Fellows is part of a national initiative (www.thefellowsinitiative.com) that aims to equip recent college graduates with the tools necessary to live faithfully in all aspects of life (work, family, church, culture, etc.). In addition to this, I am a teacher/preacher at Hope Church and I maintain a daily blog at www.brianmease.tumblr.com . Theresa Messer Grade School and Special Needs Director Ministry: Kids 513-459-0800 ext. 325 | tmesser@hope-church.org As the director of the grade school kids I work with an amazing group of servant shepherds and kids in grades 1-5. Our hearts desire to is to know God more, realizing the more we know Him, the more we will fall in love with Him and follow His call for our lives! How exciting is that?! I oversee Sunday morning grade school ministry as well as midweek Bible study and various fellowship events for kids. As special needs director I work with a gifted group of servants and kids. We meet both services and many different opportunities are provided including buddies for typical classrooms, service opportunities, large group worship and a self contained resource room. In both areas I am blessed to serve alongside people passionate for kids and our Savior! Darren Mitchell Technical Arts Director Ministry: Worship 513-459-0800 | dmitchell@hope-church.org As the Technical Arts Director, I am responsible for everything that happens during our Sunday morning worship services. This includes, audio, lighting, video, and visual elements. My team of Technical artists produce each element of the service to promote a place people can come and freely worship. During the week, I prepare videos and visual graphics, as well as prepare for upcoming services and other events that take place in the main auditorium. We are always looking for new volunteers to join this exciting ministry. No experience is needed, just a willingness to serve. Lindsey Oliva Student Women's Director Ministry: Student Ministries 513-459-0800 ext. 321 | loliva@hope-church.org As the Director of Student Women, I serve on our student ministries team for grades 6-12. I get the privilege of focusing on our student women. I spend the majority of my time challenging our student women in their walks with Christ through building relationships. I also help in encouraging, training, and supporting our adult volunteers. Then lastly, I handle some of the administrative tasks to help our ministry run smoothly. I have been here since September of 2009 and have loved every minute of it! Jenn Sinclair Worship Ministries Admin/Assistant Worship Leader Ministry: Worship 513-459-0800 ext. 335 | jsinclair@hope-church.org It is my joy to serve the Hope Church family as the Worship Ministries Admin (to Pastor Tim Dommer) and Assistant Worship Leader. My role revolves around these two main facets, and my days are always exciting and inevitably, filled with multiple cups of coffee! In addition to overseeing the administration of the worship department (i.e., organization, communication, scheduling and creative advisory), I also work under Pastor Tim to lead the body in worship each week by helping to craft the service, choosing and introducing worship songs, and rehearsing our incredible band of volunteers. Whether it is taking women on a mission trip, designing a Bible study curriculum, or praying with a woman over a cup of coffee, I consider each aspect of this position a gift and a privilege from the Lord. The ministry of Women of Hope covers a wide spectrum of ages, interests, and needs. It is my desire that every woman can find a place to stronger, closer, and further in their walk with Jesus within the myriad of opportunities at Hope Church. Deb Thomen Assistant Director of Kids’ Ministry Ministry: Kids 513-459-0800 ext. 360 | dthomen@hope-church.org In my role as Assistant Director of Kids’ Ministry at Hope, it is my desire to help kids and their families discover their place in the story of God’s Redemptive love. My primary Sunday morning responsibility is the Kids’ Ministry Welcome Center. It is our hope that every family and child feels welcomed, loved and comfortable the moment they walk in the door. My other areas of responsibility include training and screening volunteers, serving as the Missions/ Outreach liaison for Kids’ Ministry, researching and developing ways to partner with parents in their role as the primary spiritual leaders in the lives of their children. Ministry communication and administrative support are also important parts of my day. Jim Tinsley Student Ministries Pastor Ministry: Student Ministries 513-459-0800 ext. 370 | jtinsley@hope-church.org I serve as the Student Ministries Pastor who focuses on our high school students. My days are spent building relationships with students and helping them and their families navigate the questions that arise in the adolescent years. If I had to label out my heart, or my hope, for each student that walked through our doors it would simply be that they would come to know Christ and his crazy passionate love for them and to encourage them to respond with a surrendered life. Beyond those things, I provide leadership and input for Student Ministries’ volunteers, weekly programming, curriculum thoughts, and student leaders. Joe Villanyi Facilities Manager Ministry: Facilities 513-459-0800 ext. 318 | facilities@hope-church.org As Facilities Manager I oversee the maintenanace, housekeeping, groundskeeping, event planning, and security here at Hope Church. These facilities continue to be a useful tool, if you will, in our total ministry outlook. It is a place where not only those who call Hope Church their home church can assemble for worship and other ministry opportunities, but also a place for those in our neighboring communities to be able to use. This allows us to be an avenue for outreach in many different ways in Mason and the surrounding area. Mendi Worth Little Schoolhouse Assistant Director Ministry: Little Schoolhouse Preschool 513-459-0800 | mworth@hope-church.org It is my joy to serve as Assistant Director of the Little Schoolhouse. I am passionate about encouraging young children to develop and grow in all areas of life – socially, emotionally, cognitively, physically, and spiritually. My position at the Little Schoolhouse allows me to provide leadership support to the Director as we cooperatively provide families with a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for young children to learn and grow. Much of my day is filled with providing parents and staff with information, fulfilling various administrative responsibilities, and ensuring the practices of Little Schoolhouse are in compliance with local, state, and national guidelines.
